§ 150.050. POWER AND AUTHORITY.

- The Code Enforcement Officers shall be the city official who shall have the duty of enforcing all buildings and housing regulations as herein prescribed. He or she shall inspect all buildings repaired, altered, built or moved in the city as often as necessary to ensure compliance with all city ordinances. He or she shall have the power and authority to order all work stopped on any construction, alteration or relocation which violates any provisions prescribed herein. He or she shall issue permission to continue any construction, alteration or relocation when he is satisfied that no provision will be violated. A stop work order shall be in writing served on any person engaged in work being done contrary to the provisions of this chapter. Permission to resume work shall also be in writing and served upon those actually doing the work.(Prior Code, § 12-71) (Ord. 3035, § 1, 9-5-1995)
